Terms of Service
Summary: VioHunter is a professional tool for NYC contractors. The violation data comes from NYC Open Data and is provided as-is — we make no guarantee of its accuracy or completeness. Use it to identify leads, not as the sole basis for legal or financial decisions.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using VioHunter at viohunter.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Who Can Use VioHunter
VioHunter is intended exclusively for use by:
- Licensed NYC contractors and their authorized staff
- Property managers and real estate professionals operating within NYC
- Business development professionals working on behalf of the above
Use of the Service by residential tenants to investigate their own building's violations, by competitors to harvest data, or for any purpose other than legitimate contractor lead generation is prohibited.
Free vs. Pro Use
Free tier: Access to DOB violations with a daily usage limit of 50 violations displayed, basic borough and date filtering, and CRM status tracking. No payment required. No time limit. Features may change.
Pro tier ($29/month): Unlimited DOB and HPD violations, full filtering including trade categories, registered owner and agent contact lookup, bulk outreach tools, and CSV export. Billed monthly. Cancel anytime — access continues until the end of the billing period. No partial refunds.
Team tier ($79/month): Everything in Pro plus up to 5 team members, shared CRM pipeline, API access, and priority support. Same cancellation policy as Pro.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers. Existing subscriptions will continue at the current rate until the end of the current billing cycle.
Data Accuracy Disclaimer
All violation data displayed in VioHunter is sourced from NYC Open Data, which is maintained by New York City government agencies. We display this data as-is and make no warranties regarding its accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose.
- Violations may have been resolved, dismissed, or vacated since the data was last updated by the city
- Owner and managing agent contact information may be outdated or incorrect
- Address data may contain errors or variations from actual property records
- Date filters and class designations depend entirely on how NYC classifies violations at the time of entry
You are solely responsible for verifying any information before acting on it commercially or legally. VioHunter is a lead identification tool, not a substitute for due diligence.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use VioHunter to:
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data in volumes beyond normal use
- Harass, spam, or send unsolicited communications to property owners in violation of applicable law (including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and NYC consumer protection laws)
- Misrepresent yourself or your company in outreach based on data obtained through the Service
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service or its data
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls
Intellectual Property
The VioHunter interface, code, design, and brand are owned by VioHunter / Mohammad Ishtiyaq. The underlying violation data is public and owned by New York City. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of the VioHunter interface without written permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VioHunter and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost profits, lost leads, or reliance on inaccurate violation data. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes affecting paid subscribers will be communicated by email with at least 30 days' notice.
